The Baguette, and everything after

Silvia Venturini Fendi designed the Baguette in 1997 to be carried under the arm like a loaf of bread, and invented the it-bag in the process. The house then made it in hundreds of versions — sequins, denim, raffia, embroidery, double flap — which is why hunting vintage Fendi is more interesting than buying new.

We also look for the Chef, the Peekaboo, the Mamma Baguette, and the Zucca and Zucchino canvas pieces from the late nineties, when the FF logo was still a quiet stripe rather than a statement.
